Announcements New IPFD site goes live IPFD News Submissions Message from the Vice Provost Editor's Note Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "It isn't enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn't enough to believe in it. One must work at it." In the New Year, the notion of international peace is an ever-pressing issue for all citizens of the world. While the US stands in a position of influence alongside other great nations to aid peace and humanitarianism, the world remains vigilant of our actions and insistent that all world leaders work diligently to ensure both global harmony and individual safety. It is now that the words of Eleanor Roosevelt ring just as true as they always have. At the University of Missouri-Columbia, our outstanding human capital continues to bring the international flavor of the world to rest in the heart of middle-Missouri. This month, as we commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with our national holiday, let us remember that his work, as well as our work at MU, extends far beyond the borders of our nation's physical boundaries. As always, Dear Reader, thank you for receiving this edition of IPFD News. Your comments and suggestions are always well received. Sincerely, Events Disability Services Recreation IPFD Holiday Photos Photo 1: Jesse Hall Santa visits with IPFD staff and shares a laugh. |
