Six individuals and an organization received the 2004 Human Rights and Diversity Enhancement Awards at the 10 th Annual Banquet on April 7at the Reynolds Alumni Center. The Human Rights and Diversity Enhancement Awards, organized by the Vice Provost Office for Minority Affairs, International Programs and Faculty Development and the Minority Affairs Committee, honor and recognize those whose commitment, compassion and actions have made a difference in the world. On February 26-28, 2004 , the Program for Excellence in Teaching (PET) at the University of Missouri-Columbia hosted the Fourteenth Annual Teaching Renewal Conference (TRC). It is one of several scholarly activities sponsored by PET and is designed to implement PET’s core mission of providing opportunities for instructors to augment their professional growth as teachers.
