MU Celebrates the Legacy of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Committee chaired by Dr. Charles Sampson announces events for the 2004 MLK weeklong celebration. The 2004 theme “The Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on American Public Policy” was chosen to engage the university and local communities to explore together King’s legacy that still impacts public policy today. The kickoff presentation features Pulitzer Prize-Winning Journalist Roger Wilkins. All events are free and open to the public. 

 

MU Professors Named 2003-2004 Fulbright Scholar Grant Recipients

Six MU faculty members have been named 2003-2004 Fulbright Scholar Grant Recipients. The Fulbright Scholar Program is sponsored by the United States Department of State, with additional funding provided by the participating governments and host institutions in the United States and abroad.

18th Annual MU Jazz Festival

The 18th Annual MU Jazz Festival, February 20-21, 2004, will showcase high school bands from across Missouri. Each day will culminate in an evening concert featuring the MU Jazz Ensemble and festival guest MAXJAZZ recording artist Terell Stafford. For more information on the MU Jazz program, please contact Aaron Moe, Director of Jazz Performance Studies at the MU School of Music.
